Elizabeth Arden Lash Extending Treatment Mascara

Last month when I was at Ulta, I asked my mom to get some Elizabeth Arden merchandise that totaled to a certain amount because the gift with purchase seemed awesome. It was a bag that had seven different things in it. My mom and I ended up splitting the contents. I ended up getting most of the contents and the bag itself. My favorite product to try was the Ceramide Mascara.

Normally I use waterproof mascara. A girl never knows when the waterworks are going to come. But I love trying new makeup, so I gave the mascara a go. In all honesty, it is the best mascara I have ever used. It applied smoothly and I swear it almost never clumped. The brush seemed amazing too, but maybe it was because the mascara itself was good. If this mascara was waterproof, I would use it every day.

NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker

I love liquid liner, I like how it looks and how it applies. At the moment, I am on the hunt for a perfect liquid liner. When I was at Ulta a several of weeks ago, I decided to try one of the liquid liners from NYX. Since I’m usually a fan of skinny lines I decided to go with the Super Skinny Eye Marker. I can’t say I hate it, but I can’t say I love it either.

When I first put it one, I wore it with eyeshadow and I felt like I literally had to color and scribble on my eyelids just to get a line to my liking. However when I just put the eyeliner on, without any eyeshadow, it applied smoothly.

In the end it’s not the best eyeliner I’ve used but it’s not the best.

NYX Roll On Eye Shimmer

So, the other day I was at my local Ulta, which, if you haven’t been there, you need to go. It is literally one of the best make-up stores ever and they have an incredible selection of cosmetics. Anyway, I was looking at the NYX cosmetics when something caught my eye. Their roll on eye shimmer. I thought it was a unique idea, so I decided to get it in the beautiful shade of Salmon. When I put it on yesterday morning, I was stunned. It is absolutely gorgeous. They don’t lie when they say eye shimmer, because that stuff is crazy shimmery, but I love a bit of pizzazz here and there, so I didn’t mind. Throughout the day I was pleased to see that it had stayed on and still looked just as pretty as when I first put it on (however, I put E.L.F. Eyelid Primer on under it).

Now time for the drawback. Like most glittery things, the glitter in this seems like it gets all over your face. I had specks on my nose, upper lip, under my eyes, and possibly even some on my forehead. Personally, I don’t find it that bothersome. Espionage Cosmetics

Espionage Cosmetics is where two of my favorite things combine: geekery and make-up. What first drew me in were some of the nerdy themed collections. From Firefly inspired to gamer-girl collections, their lines appeal to the geek in me. The more girly side of me was drawn to the gorgeous variety of colors. My favorite color has to be Mrs. Reynolds from their Browncoats collection, which is a soft, petal pink. The hook, line, and sinker was the multiple ways to wear it. Their make-up is all mineral based so you can wear their cosmetics on your cheeks and lips as well as your eyes; for even more looks, you can apply it wet or dry. Though, if you wear it on your lips, I suggest applying it wet.

Though these sets are a little pricy ($28 for a set), I still think they’re a must! I would definitely recommend this, whether you’re a geek chic gal or just a color-loving miss, you’re sure to find at least one thing you’ll love!
